Jennifer Scott

Though she is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jen moved to Delaware in 1996 as part of her position at Carl M. Freeman Associates, and she has never looked back. Jen maintains that though she is still not a “local” Sussex Countian, she’s getting pretty close! She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1990 with a BA in Government and Politics. Before Scott and Shuman, Jen worked primarily in business consulting and human resources, amassing over 20 years of experience in personnel management, project management, bookkeeping, and accounting. She has been with Scott and Shuman since its opening day, and currently holds the position of business manager at the firm. This includes management of all human resources functions such as hiring, personnel management, and benefits administration. Jen additionally handles all accounting responsibilities, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial management and reporting, and cash management. In her free time, Jen is an extreme Bruce Springsteen fan, and travels all over the country to see him. She has three children and two puppies, and enjoys spending time with them whenever they will tolerate it.
